As you know, I have been really busy lately, as has Maverick. I haven't seen Yaw in a while.
It would be a huge help to us if the members could let us know if you see something that is questionable (as far as the Network policy goes). Please send us a PM and, if possible, provide a link to the thread you are referring to.
We want this to be a welcoming place, both for atheists and theists. I can't keep track of all of the threads ... there has been a huge growth spurt (wooo hooo) lately, and the number of posts per day is increasing beyond what I can read.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. I hope that we can nip things in the bud, before discussions become personal assaults.
I think you are a great bunch of people! Keep up the good discussions!

Just thought I should note that the Network Policy is not currently accessible on the website. I actually just started working on that section of the website yesterday. Unfortunately, when I made the new site layout, I left some things unfinished and the Network Policy was one of them.
Until I get the policy posted again, you can use this thread to address any issues that may be on your mind about how this website is moderated. I will try to get the Network Policy posted again as soon as possible.

There is a copy of the message board rules in this thread, for reference, until Marverick gets the full policy on-line.

I apologize for my recent abscence and lack of involvement on the message board. For several months now, I have wanted to continue my work with this community but lack the sufficient amount of time to do it. Other responsibilities have taken up the majority of my time and I haven't been able to dedicate as much energy to Atheists Anonymous as I did in the past.
I plan on increasing my efforts here again. But I need your help.
Within a reasonable amount of time, I will try to draft a set of goals for the things I would like to accomplish with Atheists Anonymous. I can't give a definite time line for when these goals will be posted, but I am aiming to complete it within the next month. I need enough time to sit down and consider what goals I want to reach and how we will attempt to reach them.
In the meantime, I am calling upon all of the members of this community to give me their input. What goals do you want to see Atheists Anonymous accomplish? How do you propose that we accomplish them? Your answers to these questions will help me better formulate what direction Atheists Anonymous should take for the future.

Glad to see you back Mav. I understand busy, I understand well.
I personally would like to see the board a bit more active. It has been a little of late. However, the only thing I can think of is some sort of advertisement to let people know about this board. I know that when I update my website (and can't really say when that will be) I'll put a link up but I don't have a lot of traffic there. Yet I can't really think of anything that wouldn't: 1) cost money 2)border on spamming 3)bring a large amount of trolls and drive-by flamers.
If I DO think of something, I'll be sure to let you know.

I agree with squid, I used to have a link on my website but had to remove the links page i'm not sure if anyone actually cliked it but a do get quite a lot of traffic. I'm willing to help advertise if need or wanted.
I too am going to try and contribute more. I mean come on I still have to break 1000 ;D

I'm trying to revive myself (at least break 500). I have some more time over the summer, and I love doing this kind of thing.

Goal: clean up the guest area so that if a real guest posts we can accomadate them, cause i don't know about everyone else but i tend to ignore the guest section because of all the spam.

I have a sneaking suspicion that, among thinking people, Atheism has become the default position, however unacknowledged that position may be for many who feel that they mustn't espouse it publicly. If the "god v. no god" contretemps is no longer viable, then we end up talking to (at) each other, and we can only do so much of that before the nerve's killed and people lose interest, even in being right... PS What ever happened to AuntieSocial?
