First and foremost I am Nonny's father, hello dear
I am a 100% disabled vet and have spent many years studying various subjects: history, psychology, sexology, religion, computers and art. While I am unable to complete my degree for medical reasons, I do have well over 200 credits (and none of them add up to a degree because I kept moving about the country and changed majors too many times.)
Currently, I am torn between atheism and agnosticism, there are too many laws that must be broken for life to exist; yet, there are too many problems for any reasonable expectation of intelligent design.
I was raised Catholic and converted to Protestantism around the age of sixteen. After spending years in the church I found a verse: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." -2 Timothy 2:15 (KJV). So I did exactly that and my studies led me to an odd thing while shopping in a Christian bookstore I came accross a section of books by "apologists," with my first thought being, "why does Christianity need apologists?" I remember only reading one of them and thought it was odd that the authors arguments were so convoluted. I began to look into exactly what The Bible said and found many changes in verbage from version to version. This eventually led to my realization that The Bible does contain errors and contradictions that cannot be explained away as easily as many apologists have tried. These errors violateded the first two rules for the formulation of the Canon and I stopped believing that it was infallible.
It's nice to be on this board, finally, to be able to comment and debate on these issues.
