Message Board Rules: Atheists Anonymous seeks to be a community of support to both atheists and theists alike. We strive to create an environment in which atheists can exchange ideas with like minded individuals. We also seek to create an environment in which theists can ask questions, participate in discussions, and even challenge atheism.
All of this is to be done in an environment where we respect each other and agree to disagree.
With that said, there are a couple of straightforward rules all forum posters must follow if they wish to continue using the Atheists Anonymous Message Board:
1. Refrain from inflammatory remarks. 2. Criticize only the argument, not the person defending it. 3. Do not register a nickname that imitates that of a poster who is already registered. 4. Do not register multiple accounts. 5. Remember to post topics in a relevant section.
All thread/post deletions & member bans will be left up to the discretion of the moderators.
If at any time, anyone has a question about these rules or wants to inquire about something that hasn't yet been listed, please post in the Board Rules & Site Updates section.
Thank you for reading the rules of the Atheists Anonymous Message Board. Happy posting!

Message Board Moderator Protocol: The purpose of the moderators on this board is twofold. Primarily, the moderator is a sort of guide - someone who will initiate and engage in discussion on a regular basis. However, moderators are also given the power to excercise certain administrative measures when necessary. The following are my expectations on how and when moderators will handle disputes on the boards: 1.) Familiarity with our Network Policy are necessary. Moderators have the authority to: 2.) Delete: dupilcate posts within a thread, obvious spam messages, and messages written in all caps. 3.) Move threads to relevant sections of the message board. 4.) Assist posters who have used UBBC code incorrectly (ex: if quote tags don't display properly). 5.) Lock threads and move them to the Network Policy Review Board section for review. 6.) Ban persistently abusive members. Please include the following items in a post when requesting that threads be reviewed: - The original subject line.
- The section of the message boards it was originally posted in.
- Reason for requesting review.
Also, when requesting that a thread be reviewed, moderators must edit the subject line by adding the following before the original subject line: Under Review: If the subject line is too long, omit the characters necessary to fit the preceeding part of the subject line. Moderators should excercise options five and six when they feel like the course of discussion within a thread has become abusive, confrontational, or if any theistic posters are percieved only to be proselytizing. Moderators also have a couple other perks: 7.) Create sticky threads. 8.) Edit the calendar. 9.) Edit the news fader.
