And I agree that’s the crux of it all (or at least the lion’s share). I can’t understand how someone would consciously choose to suspend their quest for knowledge. Stop learning, stop living. If you believe God has all the answers, it’s an easy leap to take. Like lemmings I guess. Ok , got to jump in here, I have been more interested in edducating myself since I became a Christian than I ever was befor. the God of the gaps theory is far to simlistic to explain all there is to theism. I'll agree I may have (did for sure) offer a sweeping generalization against Christians regarding the desire (or lack thereof) to learn. I meant to imply that there is a contingent of Christians out there who cover their ears and sing "la la la" when any semblence of contradiction might be brought to light that does not jibe wth their faith.
