I think you guys are looking at this from the wrong angle.
It's not like God is just some person on the street who demands that everyone "like" Him, or else! God created us, our very existence is dependent on Him, so we are responsible to obey Him, we ought to obey Him, in the fullest sense of the word.
Thus, to reject God would be wrong, in the same way that murder or stealing is wrong. It's not a trivial issue comparable to choosing not to "like" someone.
The next thing you might ask is, "Why should God expect everyone to want to accept Him?" But that's almost like saying, "Why should anyone want to be loving, or selfless, or just, or kind? Why should anyone want to do what's right!?" The fact is, accepting God is the only right decision to make, just like the decision to love others or protect your family.
