Yaw,
I was against peculiar parts of it ( article 2 ) or at least what I understood it to mean ( international laws overide Canadian laws, US laws overide international laws ). Is there an international trade lawyer ( or just a lawyer ) here who can enlighten me as to whether that was founded?
Alos, I've become more liberal in the last three years since then.

Final results:
Liberal -- 135 Conservative -- 99 Bloc Quebecois -- 54 NDP -- 19 Independent -- 1
So now nobody's happy. Except the Greens, who did get the 4% of the vote they needed to get federal funding (but no seats).
Also, flinging this thread, since it is technically politics.

When I went to bed last night, which eas well after 1 am ... a coalition beween Liberal and NDP would actually mean something ... now they have one seat more than a Conservative/Bloc coalition ... what a mess ...
I am happy to see the results for the NDP though ... (even if it was 23 seats leading/elected when I went to bed)

I don't think I need to tell you what coalition I'd like, mes chers. Not likely though.

Well, at least regionally, I'm happy. Nathan Cullen, the NDP candidate in my riding, beat out the Conservative candidate Andy Burton. So now we get left wing western representation, instead of right wing as it has been since 1993. The Liberals are decidedly not well liked around here, and thats even without the Sponsership scandles.

I'm going to look on the bright side. I think we can all agree that there is one considerably good thing to come of this...
Paul Martin gets to pick the replacement Supreme Court Justices. Not Stephen Harper.
Rejoice! ;D

Good point number two: The NDP caucus is 10% former party leaders ... strong, seasoned veterans to help the ummm greener additions to the NDP section on Parliment Hill

The NDP caucus is 10% former party leaders When you say 10% it makes it sound as though you're talking about a number higher then... uhm.... TWO! Sly marketing tactic there. Nice job.
