I stepped outside of my doctor’s office and began walking home. It had been a difficult day for me. All day, I tried talking to several of the residents of Anonyma. I tried to convince them that certain people were acting too suspicious to be looked over lightly. But then, the tables started turning on me. People began to throw accusations at me and a bunch of people began believing I was a part of the mafia. As I walked down the street, I noticed a death-like stillness that many of the townspeople were now familiar with. Especially since AuntieSocial’s murder, people spent almost no time outside of their houses. I continued walking home. Someone then tackled me to the ground from behind a bush. “Hey! Who are you? What are you doing to me?” I muttered. A voice answered, “Shut up Maverick! We know all about you and your trickery now.” “What?” I muttered with a black cloth covering my entire face. Then, I felt a couple sets of hands grab me, pull me from the ground, and drag me down the street. I kept yelling and fighting back until one of the people dragging me kicked me in the side of my head. After about two minutes of fighting for my life, I blacked out. 10 minutes later, Anonyma Square:A loud voice startled me as I regained consciousness. I was now on a platform with a rope around my neck. The black cloth had been taken off of my head. The crowd in front of me began shouting:[glow=red,2,300]"Lynch him! Lynch him! Lynch him!"[/glow] Mistwalker, jacopo7531, nonbeliever, and ck were in the front row leading the fatal chant. At that point, I gave up. There was no use in convincing them anymore. It didn’t matter to anyone that I was one of the town’s most renowned doctors. It didn’t matter that I had been saving the people of Anonyma from death for many years before today. Griffey walked up to me and covered my face again. Then, the executioner released the door underneath my feet. I fell through the opening started gagging. As I lost consciousness, I still heard them screaming and cheering. “Lynch him! Lynch him! Lynch…..”

Maverick, I would welcome you to death, but I'm not sure that your religion has a 'life after provisio' ... that was the great thing about Djehutism ...

It's a bit early, but I have all the night roles in so we may as well get this started. Day will break with one death.

It was a bright and peaceful night, what with a full moon, but despite the calmness I somehow felt uneasy. It was only yesterday that I had gone to visit my doctor only to be informed of his untimely demise, which was being described as nothing less than wanton murder. A lynching skewed as some sort of social justice. But I knew better. Only the previous night a fair dame who could only have been seeking enlightenment (albeit misguided) was found naked and dead in some sort of pagan ritualistic setting. But were these two murders connected? My mind raced. Surely here in Anonyma all was well I fooled myself. I decided to take a walk to sort out my thoughts. Before I even reached the end of my drive I was confronted by a gang of hoodlums. There but for the grace of god go I, I shouted, hoping to confuse them with a random sense of doctrine. To no avail. Their wrath came quickly. I was left dead. Damn them. But I know my nieces will remember this townsperson

And it's now Day 2. With 7 remaining in the game, you will need 4 votes to lynch.
Remember also that there's no deadline on days. You can take as long as you need to reach a decision, as long as you keep talking.

I didn't actually vote for Hilly in the end, and it would do you well to remember that. You, on the other hand, sound pretty suspicious to me. Think I wouldn't notice you sucking up to the dead on your intro page ( atheistanon.proboards18.com/index.cgi?board=intro&action=display&thread=1068820832)? Trying to make yourself sound like you regret it completely? You aren't sorry Maverick's dead, you're just trying to cover your tracks, aren't you? Vote: nonbeliever

I didn't actually vote for Hilly in the end, and it would do you well to remember that. I remeber that but, maybe you changed our vote thinking you could just kill hilly later. I never said anything of regret, if i remeber correctly you wished Doctor Maverick dead as well. I was just haveing a polite conversation with the dead is that not allowed? His death was mentioned but not morned. Maybe you misinterpreted(pardon my spelling).

I hate to have to do this, but I feel I have to. Message to all participants: This is only a game. Seriously.
I'm getting a bit worried, as this game is threatening of overtake the board, which it certainly isn't intended to do. I started it up in order to provide something fun for the community to do. I'll also admit to being part of the problem here, as I ill-advisedly referred to our mafia game in a post about judicial independence elsewhere on the board. Nevertheless, can we please try to keep the mafia game to the mafia thread? You can act all you want in here, but remember that what happens in here is a game. If someone gets lynched or killed in this thread, it's strategy, not something that is worth holding a grudge over elsewhere. This game isn't worth transforming the Atheists Anonymous community over.

Yeah, I guess you're right Yaw, it's easy to get carried away sometimes. Well better realizing that now than later. No hard feelings toward people who want to kill me, I promise ;D

Griffey quote:I don't know. I kind of hate to say it, Griffey, but you do look suspicious. You may not have voted for Hilly in the end, but you did vote for him. And more importantly, he voted to have you lynched (and he stuck with his vote). Now he's dead. Pretty convenient for you . I hate to do this, but I gotta go with my gut. vote: Griffey

[haunt] I would like to suggest the following so that we don't carry the fighting in the mafia thread (which is necessary to play the game) into the rest of the treads on the board. My rule of thumb: You can mention other threads in this mafia thread to play the game. (I referenced other threads when my role was still alive because I needed some reason to accuse another role here.) But you should avoid mentioning the mafia thread in other sections of the board. Yaw, I don't think your analogy in the post about judicial independence was inappropriate because you were not directing your comments about the game to anyone on the board. (Speaking to everyone now) I think we should keep the jokes and lighthearted ribbing about the mafia game in this mafia section alone. That way, we can assume that anything in this section is not meant to be taken seriously. (Disclaimer: This post is exempt from use in the rest of the Mafia game.) Now, where's Hilly and AuntieSocial? [/haunt]
