Well, I knew when I spear-headed the campaign to lynch our doctor that I would be dead that night ... I had no doubts.
I also figured it out (when the doc was killed) that Yaw was probably scum ... I can't say exactly what it was that tipped me off to that possibility ... most likely the fact that HE wasnt the target on night one ...
During Day 2, I saw Yaw more as following the pack than orchestrating things ... in all honesty, he seemed too good.
IF I had lived thru night 2, I figured that one of two things would happen ... Yaw would be the target (and dead), or someone else would be the target (and Yaw a confirmed scum) ... but, all of that was a moot point, since I guessed correctly on who the target would be ...
Man, what are you guys gonna do in Mafia III without me as your night 1 target?!? LOL
As far as my campaign against pieisgood ... I have re-read the thread knowing his position, and sadly, I still would have lynched ya, pie ...
(Kalena, I think you did great!)

I reread the thread when I found out he was the doctor, and even though I noticed posts where it seemed almost obvious he was a doctor, he also had posts where he seemed to be very scummy. Thanks!

Auntie--- my plan was, given that I was about to be lynched, to be painfully obviously roleclaiming without officially saying "I'm the doctor". There were boundries I had to keep (Like I figured I couldn't say "I protected Auntie last night"), but I was trying to come out with the doctor and then make that comment about "review the thread with all the roles in mind", as it seemed to cross nobody's mind that the doctor would be the best bet to be somebody who comes out with other possible doctors. Also, hence the logic about "I can't be a citizen, and I can't be mafia. Who does that leave?"
Kalena, you did play a good game. I have never come into a game partway through, but I have watched people who have and they are scrambling for themselves 99% of the time instead of helping the town lynch the scum, like you did.
I reviewed quite a few times trying to figure out who the siblings were, and my best bet was always hilly/griffey. Yaw was my #1 suspect for NOT being a sibling.
Heh, Muddog... I know the feeling. Yaw is a big fatherly figure who is always right... unless he wants to mislead you. I fell for that alot in other games.
wow, I guess I really did have it wrong with muddog... doctor tho? I can't see him being doctor. WEll, maybe that's because know who the doctor is :-)

Hi. Y'all talk too fast. I was only gone for one night and you added 2 pages, what the hell.
Yes fools, I was the Grand Inquisitor!!! *laughs manicacally* Yeah, that was a fun game.
Pie, dont worry, your logic and hints didn't go unnoticed...but it also made you a big target for us catholics...
The hardest part of this game for me was defending my lack of posting. I don't think I could have posted very often even if I was a townie because my schedule is so messed up. But that's the way things went so I was really nervous that someone would try to call me on that even though technically it had nothing to do with my scumminess...ack. I had my death scene written by day two.

'ts arite, better to be a night kill then to be a day lynch and the scum still has a free night kill.
heck, lack of postings only created lack of evidence to lynch you. Others, like Yaw, who had posted alot gave me ideas.
AH! so that's why Hilly jumped on Muddog so fast when I said I thought Yaw and Muddog were the scum team.

pieisgood Seriously, I know I was trying to mislead all of you, but that doesn't mean you should discount what I was doing. Part of what I was doing was to try to make the game a bit fairer by showing you some of the tools you can use to catch the mafia. Stuff like bandwagonning to get a defense, looking for people trying hard to blend in, picking apart posts for crap logic that seems intended to mislead the town, and so on are good tactics to use. Don't discount them because I was using them to pick out townies. Catching scum is a pretty inexact thing, and even the best people at this game can be wrong often. At the very least all of us will be much better in the next game, which should make it really good. pieisgood I had it down to you or muddog because of the process of elimination, though, not because of your behaviour. That is, I knew it wasn't one of us scum (myself, Griffey, or Arutha). It most likely wasn't Hilly, as I couldn't see a sibling also being a doc -- way too unbalancing against the town, especially with 3 scum. Then by the beginning of day 2 I knew it couldn't be ck (dead), AuntieSocial (can't save herself), or Kalena (jacopo was still AWOL at night and couldn't have gotten in the night choice to save AuntieSocial). So I was down to two people based on pretty solid deduction. Ironically, had AuntieSocial not been saved, I couldn't have possibly narrowed it down that far. pieisgood Amusingly, it was being a sibling that allowed me to be really out there in this game. I was fine with being around with a number of people left, but I definitely did not want to get into a situation where I was part of a three-player endgame (which would have been myself, Hilly, and another townie). I had no confidence in pulling that situation out for a win. That made me willing to be a target towards the middle of the game, and really enabled what I would now call over-aggressiveness.

I wrote my death scene as soon as it was confirmed that pie was the doc ... I knew that I was dead ...
If they didn't target me again on Night 2, I figured that I would know for sure whether Yaw was scum ...
If he was the target in Night 2, he obviously wasn't scum ... however IF ANYONE ELSE was targetted, he was a confirmed scum in my mind ...
