This thread is moving along like a snail. *cracks knuckles* it's time for controversy.
ck, eccentric random votes doesn't make scummy, it prods people to talk and get conversation flowing. You seem to be against this, as your posts and your vote for jen suggest. Keeping activity low so you can blend in? That sounds more scummy than random voting.
Thus, I will unvote: Narninian and vote: ck
But this isn't set in stone either.

Argh, darn non-standard tags.
I meant unvote: Narninian and vote: ck

I'm just too darn popular.
I get the distinct feeling that either Griffey or ck are scum, but I'm not sure. Not changing me vote...yet.

by "me vote" I of course meant "my vote". I hate not being able to edit!

Yes, no edits are teh crap. But it was pretty obvious what you meant in your last post, Jen, don't worry about it, you just sound like a pirate...
This post is to say two things. One, why do you think I'm scum, because I'm bored watching random votes without it getting anywhere? We aren't going to catch anyone that way, we'll all just sit around going, "Oh, yeah, he/she voted for me, but it's cool, they'll just spaz out and vote some other way in an hour or two..."
Two, on a more real-life note, in all likelyhood I will not be around tomorrow and my posting this week will probably be rather sparse. Just a head's up; I'm not dropping out.

[\quote] That isn't the case here thought because jen throwing around votes is not starting much conversation and is kind of annoying imo, but have you not noticed superhappy jen has two votes on here that is ussually what starts conversation not speratic(sp?) votes.

I can see doing one or two random votes. But jen is doing random vote after vote with no logic to it at all. I think it is useless in my eyes of view. So i dont see how that makes me look scummy because i was pointing out something.

This post is to say two things. One, why do you think I'm scum, because I'm bored watching random votes without it getting anywhere?. Actually it's cuz of your voting. First, you give Narninian a second vote, leading me to believe you want to vote out a townie (since Narn hasn't done anything suspect yet we'll assume Narn is a townie). Suddenly when people point this out, you do an about face and vote for ck. At the same time, you defend me. So that if you ARE found to be scum it will look like I am scum aswell. Very clever. However, I am guessing that if you are scum, then ck is not and vice versa.

2 votes really isnt that scary at this point, a second vote is barely worth noting - it could be mafia trying to get a vote in early on a townie, so they dont look suspicious for putting a vote near the end of an innocent lynch - but they'd have to convince 4 more people to vote that direction.
When we get into 3 or 4 votes - then its getting closer to the 6 majority, and thats definetly shady if done without a good reason.

Well, we should note as well that our scum might not be here yet. Fortunately, that's an issue that should be resolved fairly soon.
I'm not seeing much right now. Superhappyjen's last post was close to the scum line, so that's my best bet right now and my vote will stay, at least until I pick up on something else.
Looking forward to the replacements.

I agree with narn on the two vote thing.
But I find jen's comment to be very close to crap logic but not exactly backed up crap logic seeing as she is voting for Yaw and not for one of the two she finds to be suspicous. But of course there is keeping in mind that this is her first game and all.....

I realize that my logic is not completely sound, which is why I didn't change my vote. I was only explaining to Griffey why I found her suspicious. She asked, otherwise I wouldn't have said anything.
I have a question though. The scum do know who each other are at this point right?

I have a question though. The scum do know who each other are at this point right? This is something pieisgood should address. Usually they do know who each other are, but, seeing as this is day time, they wouldn't have a chance to plan yet. They are only allowed to communicate with one another via IM at night. During the day, all of their communications must be in the open. Conversely, townsfolk cannot communicate once night falls, either on the board or via IM (except the cop(s) and doc, who communicate only with the moderator) . (Just thought I would throw that rule out for the new people to town). This gives us townies a marginal advantage on the first day as the scum also haven't had a chance to work out any signalling system or codes yet. pieisgood while you're answering Jen's question about the scum knowig one another at this venture, could you also advise on whether the mafia are allowed to communicate on their nights off (i.e. when the serial killer is at work). I've not played a game with an sk yet, so I'm unclear on whether his activity will also limit the ability of the mafia in their planning.

I missed the alternating night part on first read through. Thanks for bringing that up, AuntieSocial. That isn't standard for either mafia or SK roles. Just as well you mentioned it, or I'd be assuming a doc was successful if there were only one kill tonight (and wondering what on earth could explain having none, if that happened).
Mafia should have received the name of their partner in the initial PM. So they ought to be aware of one another, provided pieisgood is running this normally. They shouldn't be able to talk and plan until night comes.
