I just read the roles and I didnt notice alternating kills either.
The way its written it seems like the SK only gets to kill if the mafia doesnt, and the mafia gets to every night. So does that mean that the SK's kill goes through only if they are doc blocked or choose not to kill anybody? or that both groups get to kill every other night?

It seems like the mafia gets to kill someone every other night and the serial killer gets to kill someone every night the mafia doesn't kill someone. What isn't clear is, does the serial killer only get to kill every other night or does he get to kill someone every night that the mafia doesn't.

I think it's just alternating nights. Not sure pie intended the legalese definition. The missing information is who gets to choose night 1 -- mafia or SK? It's possible we aren't meant to know that, though.

It is probally alternating considering that they are popular right now. That is a very good thing to have pointed out though.

Not much to add so far... I'm looking, but because I'm new I don't see anything particularly scummy...
Will have a proper read-through and come back to you all.

I'm reading it as alternating turns also.
With respect to the scum-detection, there hasn't been much that has struck me as scummy yet ... some oddities, but nothing that strikes me as overly scummy.

The mafia and sk will do alternating kills. The sk will start.
The mafia may talk any night, no matter who is killing.
The mafia do know who each other are, but they have not had a chance to talk.

Yeah thanks for the info....wow pie is nice if i was modding i wouldn't have given that much info.
So this new information may change the way we look at things. If the sk is starting does that give us more on the sk after night one or not?

Well it does mean that the person killed could be mafia, which would be good (although it would make the game very short since there are only 2 mafia).
I hope the sk doesn't kill me. I would hate to die my first day of playing the game.

One thing came to my mind... with the mafia being able to talk any night, that means that they will have one whole night to plan their attack and who they may target in the town square on Day 2 ...

True auntie, but they don't have the advantge of controlling the night on even nights, they don't know how long the night will be and therefore have a disadvantge. The sk could use that to thier advantge.

Okay so let me get this straight.
The day lasts and lasts until someone gets voted off the island (lynched).
The night lasts and lasts until the serial killer or the mafia offs someone.
Is that right?

It's more that night lasts until all choices are in (including doc and cop choices). Some mods set a deadline on night, I'm not sure if Pie's going to do that or not.
Also, some mods will set a deadline on day if it takes too long, or if conversation dies down too much.
