I noticed that too. What's more likely is that some people either had issues with the registration process or with remembering their password. That is, there may be a quite legitimate explanation.
At any rate, we should decide what to do about it. Which account is the legitimate one, and should we be deleting the others to clean up?

Coulc always send out a e-mail to all the poepl that have never posted asking them if they are still interested and if they aren't then delete thier accounts. Even thougth it may lower the member number i think it would look better to if the members actully had interest in the message board. Just my opinion.

Thanks for pointing that out nonbeliever. I probably should be checking for these kinds of things more often.
The registration of multiple accounts by the same person is a violation of our Network Policy. I will go through these acounts, collect the e-mail addresses of these users, and dispatch an e-mail notifying them of the problem. If I don't get a reply after two weeks, I will delete all of the accounts associated with the same user.

I noticed that too. What's more likely is that some people either had issues with the registration process or with remembering their password. There is a link on the login page that enable users who forgot their password to have the message board send the member their password via e-mail. Perhaps I should advertise this option a little better?

nonbeliever That works if your computer is set to accept cookies. In my case, although this is my own computer, I do not store my password information in a cookie as my brother will sometimes use my computer.
Some people don't ever post on these boards, nonny. They wish to show their support to the board, but don't wish to be active. I don't think it's a good idea for us to be deleting everyone who is inactive.
Multiple accounts is another matter though. Yaw's suggestion that they may have had difficulties with the registtration process is a possibility, afterall, I had difficulties when we first moved over here and Maverick had to delete my old registration to allow me to re-register (with my normal handle). I think the best course of action is to send an e-mail to the address that is on multiple accounts and allow them some time to rectify the situation (or reply and advise which account(s) should be removed).
