Well, then. Let me be the first to say: Fuck. Seriously, this is a good thing. It's not like we have any need to use the "big swear words", but it would be nice to have a discussion about anatomy without being forced to use "thingy".

Fuck! You people shouldn't be using words like that!! Seriously though, I was so happy I could finally retain control of what words are/are not censored. Right now, there are no words on the word restriction list. Here is the default list that I changed earlier: kiss my ass=I disagree my ass=I disagree goddamn=d**n damn=d**n asshole=not a very nice person shit=nuts shitty=crappy shithead=meathead fuck=f**k fucker=f**k*r fucking=f**k**g motherfucker=m*th*rf**k*r motherfucking=m*th*rf**k**g penis=thingy cock=thingy dick=thingy shlong=thingy vagina=girl thingy pussie=girl thingy pussies=girl thingies pussy=girl thingy cunt=thingy poonanny=poohead poon=thingy twat=thingy whore=sleeper bitch=pregnant dog slut=very *friendly* person faggot=f*g**t fagget=f*g**t fag=f*g dike=d**e dyke=d**e nigger=black person But no more! We're big kids now!

Yes, we are big kids.
Though we should point out that we're still big kids with an abuse/inflammatory remark policy. So just because you can use those words...let's just say that unless you're quoting someone like Mark Twain (or have another good reason) you shouldn't be using the last word on that list. We mods are nice people who will consider the context of statements, but we're still going to enforce the network policy if necessary.

Well said, Yaw. The lack of censorship on the words listed above should not be implied as permission to use them in an inflammatory way. This applies to all words on that list (not just the last one). Here at Atheists Anonymous, we expect that you have respect for your fellow posters. If you are a person who lacks respect and civility, than you should find another message board that suites your need to flame.
I should say, however, that I have encountered almost no problems with inflammatory remarks so far. We have a great group of people here and our level of civility over the past year has given me every reason to believe that a list of restricted words isn't necessary. I am very happy with the experience I've had with all of you as the administrator of this board. The administrator rests easier when he knows he doesn't have to moderate childish disputes. Thank you for that.

That list of edits is hilarious, Maverick. The best was the peathingie, in my opinion ...
I have been called a very *friendly* person before. Now I'll be forever wondering if it was a genuine compliment, or if the person had an iboardplus edit in their vocabulary!!
I'll chime-in in agreement with the board's abuse policy. Please restrict your replies to the argument itself, not the poster. If you find some logical or factual errancy, try to reply with a correction of a clarification. If you can't exhibit that level of integrity, walk away from the discussion/debate. There is no reason to attack another individual and/or use defamatory or derogatory retorts.

We have a network policy, ck. We were enforcing it on the old board and we will continue to enforce it here. I'll reiterate what Maverick said, though -- with only a couple exceptions in recent memory, we really haven't had to do much policing. Believe me, we appreciate that. This board has been excellent.
