The Resevoir Dog I am a believer so I guess I can. Still the question is do I need to walk on water? What good would it do? It would give all of us unbelievers the proof that many so desperately seek.

If I walked on water that doesn't mean that you would know about it. If I told you that I walked on water wouldn't mean that you would believe me. So me walking on water may not be what you need in order to believe in my God.
The question is if someone around you walked on water would you believe then?

There's only one way to find out. Make the video and put it out there. I don't think you will find even one video of someone walking on water if you search for it.

Ok I am at a Catholic college I have many belivers here. If they really dont belive I have a preist here too! Oh and look there is a pool too! ~ conveinient ~ Ill just go ask them to walk accross it and see if it is possible. If they need coaxing ill just grab a eucarist out of the sacristy. Maybe this time their God will do something to save his son's image at least.
Of course I know this wont work, but if you want me to try it just say so im always up for a scientific challenge. (your not going to have to twist my arm at all) You see if you are right guerrillasaint they, and apartently you would be capable of other things as well like cureing the sick and raiseing the dead. I suggest you try one of those some time and see how far you get.
OH and before I forget if you ever do figure out the water to wine thing Ill fill up bottles and bottles of water and pay you to turn them all so i can have a winery.

Well Dragon*of*Heaven make sure your subject has a relationship with God or it won't work. Also that God has put it on there heart that they need to walk on water for you.
These kinds of miracles don't happen frivolously or just because you want them to happen. There are meanings behind them. They are part of a plan.
Why a Catholic College Dragon*of*Heaven?
Oh and before I forget. Making Jesus juice for you won't Glorify my God. So I don't think that I could spin that for you.

Isn’t the plan to bring people over to god? I know many people who would start to believe if they saw someone do the things that we are talking about. I know I would believe. And don’t bring up you have to have faith. How many people started to believe in jesus when they saw him perform the miracles. That didn’t take faith, but yet that accepted it and went on to heaven. I would be the same way. So if you did do these things then it wouldn’t be frivolous it would be to bring people over to god. Wouldn’t it bring most of the world over to god? With tv and the news we have today I say everyone would know what you did. I can not see how that could be called frivolous.

Oh yes and gurrillasaint why would you not want to save people from suffering. come on do the laying of hands at least. By the way nice comment I was kinda wondering if you knew the whole way around that : ie god has told his children that they should not test him.
Now to answer your other comment why a catholic institution. Well frankly I like people when they have some sort of honor code. You see not many have that any more (I'm one of a very few) so I find that I can live easier with people when I know I wont burst in on my room mate getting a quickie before class. So without an honor code ill take one of these fine institutions. Besides Gurrilasaint don't you know the old saying: keep your friends close but your enemy's closer. what better way to find out more to disprove the catholic faith than in a catholic place of higher learning.

I don't know why God doesn't have more people walking on water?(but I will take a stab at it)
Just because Jesus did a lot of miracles did mean that all those people who were around really believed that he was the Messiah. Some of the disciples didn't get that he was God until he came back after his death. I think Jesus was constantly getting frustrated with his apostles because they just didn't get it.
Also having someone on the TV walking on water won't make a lot of people believers. There is too much technology and many people can think that miracle away. Like there was something under the water that couldn't be seen or that the film was tampered with. I don't even know if they use film anymore which means it is easier to tamper with. Being a photographer I know that what is seen in real life isn't always what end up as the final project.
How many movies are there with people walking on water.
I don't think those kinds of miracles are the only way to make people believe in God. I know I didn't need someone walking on water to make me believe. Jesus didn't just do miracles he also taught the people around him. I think more people were probably won over by his teachings and they way he lived his life then by his miracles.

Nevertheless, you can't walk on water and never could.

No I haven't walked on water but that doesn't mean that I can't.
I believe for a miracle to happen it has to be at the right time with the right person/s. If ever a situation comes up where I need to walk on water from some reason then that will be when I walk on water. I also have to trust that God will allow me to do it.

You don't have to trust at all. Living for fear of hell is depraved.

This isn't about heaven or Hell. This is about reconnecting with the creator. Living life the way he intended life to be lived. Trust is needed to live life the way God intended
