The Catholic Church has three things it states to be intrinsicly in falable as far as doctrin goes these are: the Bible, the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC for short), and any thing that the Pope says reguarding doctrine upon the chair of peter. Ok here is my problem with each. The bible is a compilation of storys that most Catholics have just now finaly come to an understanding that they are very very embelished. Also all of the storys were passed on verbaly before they were ever included. It is because they were verbaly recited that they cant be judged for acuracy. Second the CCC is a book comprised by humans much like the bible, as man is falable the Book is therefore also falable. And finaly the pope is just a man, so at no time should he ever be allowed to claim to be infalable.

Anything the pope says is infallible? Hahahahha If anyone believes that they need to believe in god. Hell they might as well believe in the flying spaghetti monster.

Necroshine where did i say in the above statement that anything the pope says is regarded as infallible? I did not say any thing of the sort. What I said was that what he says upon the chair of peter (ex cathedra) regarding catholic doctrine is considered infallible. That stated I do agree with your second statement.

i know what you meant. don't worry. when i said anything i was just talking. i doubt anything on or off the chair is correct. what you take an idiot off the street and sit him in a chair and all the sudden god talks through him? look here just because you can make a trained monkey sit and speak on Command doesn't mean he is talking for god. i mean if i go around saying that god talks uses my voice box as a megaphone when i plop down in a chair they would put me away. lol i like Monty Python can you tell?
