As you all know, the threads on the old board are still open for discussion (and will still be available for reference after they are locked for new posts). I would like to make a suggestion to those who re-open these threads on the new board. 1. When creating a subject, it would be beneficial to use the original subject line, appended with the word "continued", as I have done with the "Theists say the darndest things, continued" and the "Icebreakers, continued" threads. 2. Include a link to the original thread in your first post, for easy access and review to the original thread. The format for the URL flags is as follows (with no spaces): [ url=http://whatever.the.URL.is ] Link Description [ /url ] This would look like Link Description and would link the person (in a separate window) to the website whatever.the.URL.is

Great suggestion AuntieSocial. I hope people will use old threads on the Iboard to continue discussions here. Some very interesting topics were discussed at the old board and it would be terrible to see those discussions fade away.
I will try to revive some of the discussions from the old board and I encourage anyone else to do the same.
Edited in: I would also like to offer one more suggestion. In addition to the above, I think it would be great if those reviving old threads here would breifly summarize the points they made in the old thread. If you are the person who created the thread at the old board, I would encourage you to copy and paste the message you wrote in your opening post. If you don't have time to do that, feel free to go with the above suggestions alone.
