Atheist (and other) News Service

As some of you may be aware, there is a News Service that is directed at Atheists. I am a subscriber and have found the articles quite interesting (although I haven't found all of them post-worthy).

If anyone is interested in subscribing, send an e-mail to the following address:

Include the following in your subscription request:
- subscriber's name,
- mailing address and
- telephone number

Don't forget to mention that you were referred from Atheists Anonymous.


I will post more links to other news services that may be of interest when I have some more time ... included in the upcoming list will be the ACLU Action News and the American Atheists Action News.

Do you know of any other atheist news services?

I have a few problems with this particular one. About half the articles are focused on the Great Jewish Conspiracy in the face of the fact that the Jews are arguably more secular than even Buddhists. I want to follow Moore's campaign to get the 10 commandment monument in public buildings but I get really tired of "the Jewish 10 commandments." As far as I know, no Jew has ever suggested that the 10 commandments should be in a government building. This is strictly a Christian deal.

It's also blatantly politically partisan. Subscribers are urged to vote Republication in spite of Republican slavish subservience to fundamentalist Christianity. I find that inappropriate for more than one reason, though. I would have expected a news service to be more unbiased. I expect there are a lot of atheists in both political parties.

So if you know of any other news service, I'd be delighted to let the Great Jewish Conspiracy operate without my supervision!

MrsCogan, I agree with your comments about the "Great Jewish Conspiracy." I also agree that there has been a great focus on politics lately (although my take on the discussion is more along the lines of "Kerry's stand is no better than Bush" and "We need more atheists to run for political office, whichever party they choose."

Unfortunately, I haven't found another service that is as comprehensive (they include letters to the editor and news from around the world), or as diligent in sending out news links.
