It is your right not to stand. That cannot punish you for that. Toss around the word lawsuit or ACLU and they'll kiss your ass next time.

I always used to sing "Bob keep our land glorious and free." instead of "God keep our land glorious and free."
Would you mind elaborating on this unteacherly bad talk? Was ther inappropriate cussin'?

There will always be teachers that pick on you, it's a fact of life. If you can: do. If you can't: teach.

One of my friends and I got in trouble for the same thing a few years back. We wound up standing up with our backs to the flag for the rest of the year as protest.

You could use the original flag salute which started as a outstretched hand then placed it over the heart like we all know now. The first part was eliminated because of the resemblance to the Nazi party salute. Hell, people are always saying leave the pledge as it originally was...that's one aspect of how it originally was....along with not having the "under god" part in it.

Not standing up is not a crime. Now if you were to sing the Russian anthem or the Chinese anthem at the same time as every one else is saying the pledge of allegiance then yes its kinda treasonous.

Do they kick out the students that are in a wheelchairs to? You do have the right (still) not to partake in the pledge. Like said above, make your voice heard as to what happend, someone will listen.
