How do people of one faith explain the other faiths? If their is only one god to someone of faith x then all the other faiths would be false, right and vice versa? I'm asking for the reason that there are so many churches in my area and they are all different faiths. That does not make any sense to me, nor how they can get along without a holy war.

I live in a very small town. There are no more than 2 cops on duty at one time. Sunday mornings no cops are on duty and the police station is closed. Our whole town takes up about one square mile. This is just a small town; we have a population of about 600 people. With 2 stores that are not open all the time. But what we do have are churches. I have counted 11. why in the world you need that many for a town this small is absurd. Like you said its all about the same god in the end, you would think people could just get together and kiss his ass in the same building. Why spend the money for this many churches instead of helping the needy. Isn’t that what the church is for? To help people who need it. But no you have to build more and more buildings so you can show god how much you love him. It really makes me sick to see the amount of money wasted on this. When people need help and can not get it. In the town I work at I see that a church is for sale. Isn’t a church supposed to be built on holy ground? How in the hell can you sale holy ground and go some place else with the church?
As far as the holy wars god and people getting along I don’t see them getting along. Now people argue with me because I don’t believe in god but they will argue with each other because of beliefs that don’t match also. I have seen a church of god arguing with a Baptist before about what is right and wrong. I find it so sickening.
How many churches are in your town? Now how much money does it take to keep the churches going? Couldn’t that money be spent in better places besides putting up another church?

Although I agree that it sickens the heart to see into the Hypocrisy that makes up the beliefs of so many with faith, in the end the answer to the question is simple. People do not agree, and with every generation people continue to diversify their beliefs. That is why they cant have the same church. Yes its the same God for Christians, but since they cant agree to the same things, and they all think the other is wrong and are going to burn in hell for eternity (except the Catholic Church actually which has some stipulations for the non faithful to get into heaven). So to answer your question completely it is this: You cant shake hands and love some one when you believe that they are going to hell. If you did then they might pull you down with them. You see its obvious why they have to build more than one Church. By the way though If the above is correct it is impossible for any of them to go to their heaven, because they cannot truly love their neighbor.
