Where did the holy ghost come from? Is it mentioned in the bible separately from GOD or HIM or the LORD? My bible says that Mary was with the child of the holy spirit, is this the same as the holy ghost? Who invented the last addition to the trifecta? Does anyone know when it entered catholic or orthodox dogma?

The last member of the trifecta was installed during the Nicene Council ( spelling). That is when they concluded that Jesus was God and they also concluded upon the trinity being Father, Son, Holy Spirit/Ghost. Yes they mean the same thing. It is also where they came up with the Nicean creed. PS dose any one else see a problem with the bible being put together under an Emporer, an Emporer with an Army. I would think that would throw up some red flags about the bible.

It bothers me greatly that the Canon was established based upon various factions that had to argue to what was "Biblical" or not. The following were the criteria for the Canon: To be considered to have come from an all-powerful God, a book must meet certain requirements. 1) First, it must be transmitted to us accurately from the time it was originally written so that we may have an exact representation of what God said and did. 2) Also, it must be correct when it deals with historical personages and events. A book that confuses names, dates and events has no right to claim it comes from an infallible God. 3) Furthermore, any revelation from God should be without any scientific absurdities which would betray that it came by mere human authorship. www.coptic.net/articles/TheStoryOfTheBible.txtThere are many books that were left out of The Bible for various reasons. Some of them are quite fascinating. As far as the first two rules go: It is obvious to scholars that there was an original source called "Q" (for Quelle). The Gospels are based upon this. Mark was written first and then Matthew and Luke written based on Mark. Look at Matthew 1:1-16 and Luke 3:23-38, these are the genealogies of Jesus. Note that the father of Jesus is Joseph when it should be the Holy Spirit which would make a genealogy pointless. Next look at Joseph's father and read the names, they are different. That is just a simple example of a violation of the rules.
