At work we have teams and the teams have logos. The people on a team get together and come up with a logo that most people agree on. This one team is the flying aces. They have the ace card with wings on it. Some people on the team does not like the logo they believe that playing cards are evil. Now I’m ok with that I understand why they think that. Cards, dice, and pool are evil to some people. Now here is the odd thing. A few co-workers don’t understand why they think that cards are evil. Keep in mind that the co-worker is a christian. They was laughing that someone would think that a card is evil. You would think that they would have respect for others believes in the matter. But as always in true form they made fun of someone that thinks differently then they do. I had told her what if we was known as the devils love child. I was told that it was not the same thing. That they play poker all the time and nothing is evil about that. Once I pointed out that she eats shrimp and that is a sin. Why would she have a problem with what others believed. The subject was dropped but I found it so hypocritical of them to have that view. But of course I think most Christians are hypocrites.

Why would cards, dice and pool be evil to some people? They are just games, right?? And why draw the line at cards and such and not football or anyother game for that matter?

In some religions dice and cards are evil. You have the taro cards and dice that tried to tell the future. So there are looked on as evil. And some people believe this still. i just find it stupid that people who have religious out look will laugh at other peoples views.

People look at things like cards and dice as nothing but gambleing. Some of the religions of different people reguard gambeling to be evil. Even if you are not betting any thing you are still playing with the cards or dice, and thus in their minds alowing the devil free access. In the end it dosent even matter if the person thinks it is evil or not. If the religion the people buy into thinks it is evil then they think it is evil. Other wise the person would loose the feeling of belonging or shelter that these religons provide. ( as you have to agree to belong) To these people questioning such things as there own religons is looked upon with about the same degree of pleasure as lieing down on the side of a pool, and haveing your worst enemy hold your head under for a time of about 5 min causeing permenant brain damage.
