I just watched the movie and I also looked up about what parts are true in the movie. Not much but that is not what I’m going to be talking about here.
First off I have to point out, did you ever notice that only Catholics get possessed by demons kind of like the way only people in trailer parks see ufos’?
Now my question is if you confess your belief in god. You want him in your life and open your heart up to him. What do you get in return? A home in heaven when you die, but is that all you get? I would think when you choose sides then the devil will be coming to get you. That is what the preachers say. Watch out for the devil he will get you. God is your strength when you are weak and he will carry you when you fall. He is always beside you and in your presents. But if the devil can take you over and control you like a marionette where is god to protect us? I’m not saying that god is to protect us from all evil. We can protect ourselves from the evil on earth to a point. But when it comes to evil in a different realm where only god, angels and devils roam, you are powerless against that. Don’t you think god needs to protect the ones he loves from the ones he has cast out? Lets take Emily for example. She believes in god but yet 8 demons took her over. The 8 demons included Hitler, a fallen priest (forget his name right now) and the devil himself. Where is god to protect his beloved child from an attack she can not protect herself from? You would think even when the demons had the body of the child in control her soul would still cry out for help from god. But yet he does nothing to help. Only priests can do the exorcism to free the child. It’s the priests begging god to intervene no one else can do this apparently not even the victim that I’m sure asks day after day when she is in control. Why would god turn his back on a beloved one like that? He is the only one that can get the demons out but yet will not until a priest asks. So if god is not going to protect you from the forces that would harm you then why turn to him in the first place?
