papsmearmycat: for one, those were rhetorical questions... also, i would like to see some proof. you are basing everything you know on mere myths... nothing of it is logical. can you PROVE that noah did all of this? can you prove that everything in the bible is correct? why dont you read the entire bible and mark down all the contradictions it makes... you will run out of ink just writing them all down.

I have heard of that. It was back in school and someone raped a cat. Sick bastard I know. But it was a christen at the same time. Christens have killed people, smoked drugs, raped children, robbed banks, and everything else under the sun. we are all people and we all do the same things. vertigo doesn’t seem cranky to me, I would also want to know why you are yelling at people? You call me bitter, I need a reality check, and have call other people names on other threads. Any way I’m here for a good debate. That is all.

The Bible makes contradictions only when you take it out of context. How many times have you read the Bible?

you dont seem to be debating much here. and i dont see how someone could actually believe in god, and willingly devote themselves to the depths of hell by doing all that nonesense. if you think about it, they probably werent actual christians... they probably just thought or said they were, because no true christian that believes in the lord would do something like rape a cat deliberately just to get into hell and be torchured in the most unimaginable ways for the rest of eternity. humans are faulted and will do stupid things... but wouldn't be a true christian at heart if they did horrible things like rape and murder.

So you are saying I don’t have to accept god before I die? I get another chance after I die? That is not what the bible says. Where do you read that?

Is there a link showing the measurements that you describe?
For information on the ressurection, read Matthew 22:23 on
Mark 12:18 on
Luke 14:14, 20:27 on and Revelation
Revelation 21:2 talks about how Heaven will be on Earth, not in the sky where people think. There will be two resurrections, according to the Bibile. The first one is why we are supposed to be good on the Earth today. If we ae, we get to live for a thousand years with Christ(Revelation 20:1 on). The second one will be the one where people are judged for their actions. Then they are thrown into a lake of fire if they didn't live good lives. It says people are judged according to what they had done, not what they believed. A cool part is that Death and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire. All of this assuming the Bible is true.

But that contradicts “for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son …….
You have to believe in god not works. What was that you was saying that the bible doesn’t contradict itself?

yes. God gave his son so that we could be judged, as opposed to just screwed. Nice, wasn't it?
I guess you won't see what im talking about until the day of judgement. If what i believe is true, that is...

The problem is, that is what you believe. Everyone has a different way of looking at it. and I would think that if you asked you would here 98% of believers saying that you do have to believe before you die. Surly you have heard that. But that is just them. do it matter what they think? And sorry for no links to the noha thing. I don’t have a link right now I was doing a lot of reading and that is one thing I ran across. I wish I had a link.

I realize this, but many Christians also do not read the Bible. They depend on others to read it for them. In fact, the Catholic Church teaches that reading the Bible will make a normal man go crazy, and suggest that believers just listen to what the priests say. And besides that, when pople pray to Jesus, they are praying to the wrong person. We are instructed to pray to God through Jesus, or in Jesus' name. Jesus didn't come to the Native Americans, because they didn't need a prophet. They lived by Gods laws, and the laws of nature. Proof of this is in the story, which I believe is in acts, when a man tries to exorsize a demon by commanding him to leave in the name of Jesus through Paul. The demon said that he knew Jesus, and he knew Paul, but he didn't know him, and beat the crap out of him, allowing him to flee the house after ripping his clothes off. If all you had to do was believe for salvation and protection, wouldn't that demon have been exorsized?
The Bible doesn't contradict itself, people's interpretations of the Bible contradict.

I read the main post and i agree with necroshine.
I know that the mythical god the christians made up is evil. I think that any being so evil and so sick that would cast someone to burn in eternity in pain and agony forever and ever with no stop is far from loving. NOt even the cruelest of humans if put in gods place could be that sick and mean. I think that if their was a god it would not deserve our worship cause i know i would not bow down for such a cruel being.
