Poor Abraham was ordered by God to sacrifice his only son to show his faith. I am sure most theists would do the same. Now here's a real test of faith for you theists. If God commanded you disbelieve in him, that is, become an atheist, would you? If not, what does that say about the strength of your faith? Conversely, if so, same question.

I heard a theory that if no one believes in a god, then the god ceases to exist. Therefore, I cannot think of any scenario in which a god would ask that. No scenario is coming to my head, even remotely.
I'm not much of a Theist, but did you have a particular scenario (even remote) in mind for these questions? If so, it might be easier to answer if you posted it, as it would be easier to imagine.

If God asked you not to believe in him, it would prove he existed beyond all resonable doubt, making it hard to believe he didn't exist.

But if God told you not to believe in him, and you still did, wouldn't that show a severe lack of faith and loyalty?

Sin, as defined in the Bible is transgression of the law, mans law as well as the law of God(the ten commandments.) Killing yourself isn't a "sin," it just isn't reccomended. Same as eating unclean animals such as pigs.
If God asked me to kill myself, I would. If God asked me not to believe in Him, I wouldn't.
Neither of these would be a sin, because God telling me to do so would be making them the law.

Have you ever let your girlfriend wear your tshirt? Have you ever thought that your parents didn’t know what they was talking about? Have you ever looked at someone and thought that you would like to have sex with them? Ever worked on Sunday? Your going to hell. God said not to do all them things. See you in hell with the rest of us.
Oh this is sooooooo pointless.
