My question is, what's the deal with heaven? I'm no Christian nor will I ever read the bible. But my understanding (from TV, movies etc) is its a place where all good Christians go for eternal peace and happiness.
The problem I have is my idea of heaven forgive me if its a little crude, might be f**king Paris Hilton all day everyday. That's fine for me, but wouldn't that encroach on what Paris Hiltons idea of heaven is? Is this allowed in heaven or if you want to f**k do you have to go to hell?

i don't think the idea of heaven or angles includes sex. But then again what do I knkow. The bible says angels has had sex with us humans. That is where the giants came from. Even if we have never found evidence of the giants. So I guess we can have sex in heaven but no one knows. You hear both on each side. There are different sexes in heaven or everyone is the same. You can add that to all the stupidly that is in the bible. Nothing more.

Heh, ;D well me thinks you'd be breaking comandment #7, that is 'thou shalt not commit adultery' with regards to your Paris Hilton thing. So you would most likely not get into heaven in the first place or if you did, god would read your evil thoughts and see you tricked him and boot you right down to hell. I'm not sure if Satan would hook you and Paris up or not? But seriously the way I would see it (if I believed, which I don't) is heaven would be like a heroin trip. Everything would be perfect, you would have no wants but, to me this would be artificial, unhuman. Some christians will tell you that hell is simply not being in the presence of god. At any rate as I think your alluding to, the whole idea of heaven/hell, or god, is silly.

Christians don't want to have sex, they want to read the bible and play shuffle board. That's what heaven is: biblical studies and shuffle board tournaments.

I don't think that the concept of Heaven includes physical intercource. Most Christian sects (and some other religions that involve an after-life) believe that you leave your worldly body behind.
Heaven satisfies the happiness of the soul. Now my concept of happy souls involves a nice pair of hush-puppies or warm fuzzy slippers.
Since physical intercource (lust) is a physiological need, there is probably no provision for this in the conceptual Heaven.

...my idea of heaven forgive me if its a little crude, might be f**king Paris Hilton all day everyday... First you must ask yourself why this is and what drives the desire for that activity. Now in your death, in a hypothetical state of conciousness without your physical body and its associated hormones, will you give a f** about Paris?

From what the bible teaches us, Heaven is paradise for those who are saved. You no longer want, crave or desire earthly or physical possesions i.e money, power, wealth, sex etc

So what you guys are saying is that in heaven I'll feel so good that I won't want to have sex!? I don't know about you but if heaven is for eternity I might want to do "it" every now and then, because it feels good ;D. And hey if God can do any virgin he wants :oI don't see why it wouldn't go on in heaven.
Also I guess I didn't make it that clear in my first question, but what if your Idea of heaven makes someone else's heaven, hell? Say your an abusive husband who beats his wife everyday "because he loves her". His heaven may be spending eternity with her, however her idea of heaven my be to spend eternity away from him. Either way one of them is going lose. (And just to make it clear on his death bed the husband confesses his sins and is blessed by the pope!) How can that work?

Any why did the devil want power and all that if heaven is perfect? Poof, there goes your house of cards. You need to rethink your idea of heaven. And make up something better. There was a war in this perfect place. That what is to stop another one?

Where does it say that, out of curiosity? Revolations is a accurate way to describe it. The part where Satan is thrown in the lake of fire.

Well first off Lusifer did not truely want power. Was he arrogant yes. But he was in no way differently arrogant than achilies. When told what Gods plan was he questioned it. He questioned it becasue under Gods plan not every human could be saved. He proposed a new plan insisting it would save all humans. After being turned down he rebelled. -ps this is in the book of Enoch and can also be found in several other places if you look very hard-

Recently, I was approached by a Christian proselytiser in the main street of the town in which I live and he kept going on and on about Heaven and Hell and he asked me "what would be Hell for you?" and I replied "Hell for me would be getting to a Heaven full of Christians!" The conversation ended right there ;D

Wouldn't you get bored with having sex with paris hilton after, oh, a few thousand years? I'm not sure how strongly you're attracted to her, but I think it is inevitable that you would be left unsatisfied eventually. Think on this: When we give love away freely, the love that we had originally inside us only grows, replenishing itself to a higher volume than we started with. When we indulge sin, the void inside of us that prompted us to search for that sin only grows, making us a slave to it. Maybe heaven isn't having sex with paris hilton... but perhaps your hell might consist of being surrounded by endless beautiful women, but having no corporeal body with which to satisfy your carnal desire....
