I had a question the weekend that I asked a few people. “Are you an evil person if you hurt someone that is weaker than you are just because they don’t do as you wish, along with the fact that they have done nothing to hurt you?”
I want to ask a preacher this and I will. Because to our standards god is out of control, and is an ass hole.

Some people would call it reinforcement.

well you have a point, unless God of the christians is evil and they will admit it. After all he did it all the time. No it would not make you evil. Evil is being able to do the most dispicable things ie kidnappeing children and eating them etc. And feel absolutly no emotion. Evil, speeking from a individual who is of this reality is a person who has absolutly no reguard for life in all its forms.

Wouldn’t you have to have no regard for life if you can torture someone forever in a pit of fire? Evil would have to be the motivation behind sending plagues down to kill children? Or if you flood the whole earth with water and drown everything that is on the planet just because some thing you created was acting in a way that you call evil. Even if you know the future and you knew that was going to happen to begin with. That would be just like bringing a baby into this world just to kill it in a bathtub. Why would you do that?
I may not have made myself clear about what I was talking about in my first post. But if we take the fundamental idea of what is evil and acting evil and apply it to god then you can only say that god is evil. Besides he did make all this evil to begin with. Remember he knows the future and the world can not be different than what he knows and wants it to be. If that was possible then he is not a god.

Eh. This argument might not work so well. What's to stop the Christians from saying that god is all-knowing, and therefore knows what is "good" and "evil" better than we could? Maybe siccing plagues on us is for our own benefit.
Then again, that wouldn't explain why god made our morality so different than "real" morality. So you never know, it might make them think.

It has to make you think. Instead of slowly killing people why doesn’t the god of mercy kill people with strokes and such so the death is quick and painless. But god seems to go out of its way to make sure he kills his children slowly. You never hear in the bible where someone just falls over dead. They have to be hung on a cross, feed to lions, drown, tortured endlessly, or be turned into something else. Its all so silly. Its just like it’s a darker version of fairy tales grim. But people hold this god up to be kind and merciful. Because he takes a few hundred million to heaven while there are billions burning in hell. I don’t know maybe i’m the only one thinking this way.

I like that question. I guess because I have an answer. I have been thinking about Good people Bad people for a bit now.
You know whether someone is good or bad doesn't really matter. We all at some time in our lives do something evil and then we do things that are good. Just because someone does one more frequently than other doesn't mean that they are better or worst than that person who doesn't do it so often. Good, bad, evil, moral, that all depends on what society you are in.
Lets not beat around the bush though you are wondering why God would send you to hell just because You didn't put your faith in him.
Well he is giving you your entire life to pick what place you want to spend eternity. Now why he has Hell I can't tell you that. I think that is a pretty interesting question though. Why not make you just not exist? Who know? Maybe sin is a much bigger deal than you think. Jesus had to die for all of our sins.
Well I hope on day you all will believe but that is between you and God so Peace.

I know why god puts us in hell. its in the bible that man wrote and it is the way it has to be. If you don’t believe the way I do then you will die. That is the thinking of mankind trying to keep everyone in line. What I am asking is why would you follow a book that has so many contradictions in it. god is all loving. NO. he is going to send MOST people on earth to hell. so he is not all loving. If god wants me to believe why just have a book? Why not show himself? he has before what makes now different? God is all powerful. NO he doesn’t seem to have to power to stop other gods from having power here in earth. You would think that would be his first priority but he can not stop any other god. Allah has a large number of followers and they grow every day. God doesn’t seem concerned about it. why follow a god that doesn’t seem to be the way he says he is? I’m sorry but you missed the pint to my question. I’m not asking WHY does god send us to hell, I’m asking “Why would someone follow a god that would send most people to hell?” is it for the revenge part? God will get revenge for me, for all the bad things that happened to me on earth. How can god get revenge for anyone? he is all loving and will forgive you 7 times 7000. As long as you believe in him. if you don’t then he is the biggest monster that anyone has ever thought up. Besides if he can hang his son on a cross then think what he will do to you. Scary thought to me. I will not fall into that way of thinking any more. I can not follow a monster so terrible and then say that he is all loving.

The whole good/bad thing always will lead back to the debate over "what is good/bad?". There is much variance.

My questions wasn't why he puts people in hell it was why he made hell.
There are not contradictions in a the Bible. Still I would like to see the ones you think are contradictions.
God maybe showing himself to you but you just aren't paying attention. Do you know what God looks like? Do you know how he will come to you? Just becasue He showed up one way to one person doesn't mean he will show up that way to you. He never stated that He will always show up in this fashion.
I doubt that God is out for revenge. I think that would be your idea of the heaven hell situation.
Believe or not God has a set of rules for himself. 1) he can't make you do anything 2) what he says he means 3) he will give everyone a chance to accept him. 4) he will forgive anyone for anything if you accept him
