Does not the myriad of doctrinal differences point to the fallacy of faith more than even science might?
In fact, it might just prove Darwin right, in that if you get a whole lot of people to think the same way, the group cohesion will lead to a more stable and virulent society.
I’m sure this has been brought up in some form or another before on this board, but I’d like to see reaction on whether you folks ever wonder why religious folks don’t see this. I mean, how can a couple billion people be so primitive? Or am I wrong?
(No offense intended, William)

its not about getting along, its about getting into heaven and winning gods favor. Sure, to them. I just was wondering why there's so many believers that can't see beyond their perfect example of artificial (and perhaps natural) selection.

I would say the difference in doctoral beliefs is because of human nature. Not everyone likes to worship the same way. I have a preference but I should still be able to communicate with other Christians because we believe in Jesus Christ.
And it isn't about getting into heaven. That isn't the true reason behind Christianity. It is about having a loving relationship with God. If your main point is to get into heave or stay our of hell I think you truly missed the point.

The problem is, from my perspective, the point is moot.

Yes perspective accounts for a lot of things in life I must say.
I guess some Christian have a different perspective about how they want to worship God.
