Ok I have a question for those who have faith in a God. Now this dose not mean nessasaraly pretain just to christians but can also pretain to any and all gods that have ever been. Now for the question. If I could prove that your God or Gods did not exist and never have (not that i would or can mind) could you still have hope, or is all the hope in your life baised on your God existing?

No god lover here but if you hope for something isn't the same as wishing? Say, I hope to win the lotto is the same as, I wish I'd win the lotto? So, those would be things that a person just wants to have happen. So if there is no god why can't people wish/hope for things to happen?

Well twobirds I ask this question becuase I have often been aproched by people who say that without God there is no hope. And I know people who's whole life and every thing about them would come crashing down around them if they were to understand what you have just stated.

some people don't understand the love around them. they think they have to be loved and looked upon by a higher power to give their lives meaning. if someone says that without god there is no hope i always point to other countries that don't have the same god to show that hope is real and not god. some people don't think that are as strong as they are. but i always ask if heaven is so good and they want to be there then why don't they hurry up and go? i don't think god would punish them for wanting to be with him. that would be crazy on gods part.

People would still try to hold on to hope that you where wrong and would either convince themselves that either that proof never happened or else they would probably have somesort of nervous breakdown; simply because most people need religion.
