Correlation between Population Growth and Religion

Although I am familiar with some exceptions, overall I believe that it is safe to say that religion tends to serve as an aphrodisiac. Religion fools people into believing that life is sacred, that even though god will send you to hell to burn for eternity, he loves everyone and wants all of his little angels to experience life. Even if a man and his 350 lbs. wife are living in a double wide trailer home in the middle of a swamp you can count on their being at least a litter of children in the backyard if they are religious. I won't even mention the Mormon's. The religious government of the US even encourages prolific reproduction by offering tax advantages to larger families who continue to "make little miracles" without taking into consideration the havoc those little SOB's they squirt out every 9 months will wreak on this planet in terms of ecology. Religion seems to make people believe that the human race is immortal, it will live on forever whether it is in heaven or on a spaceship hiding behind a comet. This mentality is suicidal and extremely dangerous for mankind.
