I would like precisions on what counts as an inflammatory remark.
If I were to say that "all X are a bunch of Y", that would be inflammatory.
If I take someone's ridiculous major premise and develop it to its ridiculous ( and some would argue, disgusting ), conclusion through a reductio ad absurdum argument, would that be inflammatory?

For the purposes of this board, an inflammatory remark would be a remark that is directed at a person or group of people for the purpose of inciting anger or malicious ridicule.

Not necessarily. Let's say the following statement was made: "All Christians are a bunch of irrational people." Though that statement fits the model quoted above, I wouldn't consider it an inflammatory remark. If that statement truly reflects someone's opinion, that person would be allowed to express that opinion. It would be the job of those who disagree with that statement to voice their dissent.
As long as someone does not intend to incite anger or malicious ridicule, any statement would not be considered inflammatory.

From the description you've provided above, I would not consider it inflammatory.
