I don't think there is sufficient contemporary evidence to support the existence of Yeshua.
As far as the Biblical account of the character, I would say that he was executed for leading an insurrection against the Empire of Rome, which was definately reason enough in that time period in Palestinian/Roman history.

i think not real & never was. Every memorable story needs a star. i think the story & star were created as a means of politically controlling and manipulating the masses for financial gain and and political strength.

Have you heard of Paul Bunyan? Don’t you know that he made the grand canyon, And he is why the northern lights are in the sky? Oh yes that is proof that Paul Bunyan was real.
All you non believers you need to find paul in your lives. Ride the big blue ax to the north so you can watch the wrestling matches between Paul and his ox.

Well if he was a real person I have seen no proof that he was any thing more than a man. He him self never said he was any thing more. Lets not forget how easy it is to make others believe what the want to think is true. And vise versa as well.

According to Roman logs there where about 4 Jesus of Nazareth's in about a 6 year span that where all crucified for the same crime. So odds are one of them is our subject in question. However I think that Jesus was one of two things, a man with a very severe case of delusions of grandeur, or the greatest con-man the world has ever seen with a very severe case of delusions of grandeur. Take your pick.

And lets not forget The Reservoir Dog that according to those same logs they were all left up there to rot. And there was a very popular rummer that says that the pharisee took the body from the tomb. Oh and in-case you are wondering why the garments were folded? There is a relatively simple answer to this, in the rummer it was that they payed some soldiers to do their work. Soldier's training today is actualy based off of the same conditioning principles as the greeks, spartins, and romans used. And would you like to know what one of the first things they teach you to do is? Its to fold your clothes. A Roman soldier would be conditioned to the same as well becuase they still had to fold their clothes just so to get them into their small packs. Oh yes and before any one goes to say that its silly I would also like to point out that this was a Roman Invaison, and occupaiton force. This means that they would have been the best of the best. Show me one Soldier that has a messy room or can't fold clothes, and I will show you some one of low rank.

However rumors are rumors. The roman logs are still regarded as fact.

True and I am not regarding the logs as not being factual. Theologians say that it is. I am just trying to dilute a rumor with a rumor.

The idea is though that the logs are not rumor they are regarded as fact; the idea of the pharasies bribery are still regarded as a rumor not as fact. It would be interesting to see which one is true though;regardless it still means the same thing.

I said that the logs were considered fact. Let me reiterate. I am dilute the rumor of the folded clothes being a sign that he was risen.

I appologize I misinterpreted your statement of dilluting a rumor with a rumor. Good point about the clothes though.

A Roman soldier would be conditioned to the same as well becuase they still had to fold their clothes just so to get them into their small packs. I can personally (as well as many others I know would echo me) attest to this. I still compulsively fold my clothes almost as a reflex action. I still make my bed the same way I did in boot camp. That conditioning stays with you.
