Good by whose standards? Fear the person who wants to do you some good. Also, remember that you are using a strange definition of selfishness. By your definition, it wouldn't be selfish to want something for his own good. I want money for my own good, robbing banks must not be selfish.
Your definition is bogus, accept it. Wanting something is always selfish; if you want to give to charity you want to be the giver, if you want to give anonymously, you want God to see you as an anonymous giver or you want the 'warm feeling'.
Christianity uses fear and guilt just like any other cult. If you feel so guilty from being born the way God created you that you want to give anonymously, you are pitiful. Guilt induces giving, it's simple.

Which dictionary does that come from?

Now now gentlemen and Lady's alike lets not be too terribly angry with him he is only attempting to protect his faith. Though I hope we can help you correct this mix up in your ideas pilgrim. Then perhaps you will abandon faith and look to fact.
Under our reasoning yes but only to a limit. You see every thing we do is selfish because every thing we do is for our selves in the end. So yes the child is being selfish. You see its like pride. Pride helps us to feel good about our selves. In measure it is a good thing. It is when it gets out of hand that it achieves the level of deadly. The same goes for the child's selfishness. In his asking it is a good thing. However lets say that he is asking for a cake and is already the size of a sumo wrestler. In this case it is a hazardous sort of selfishness.
Now that we understand this lets move on to the real point. Your God says that you can only get into heaven by being selfless. This off course as we have already pointed out is impossible. That is why your idea of the child not only dose nothing for your argument but it only helps ours.

No he is trying to push his faith on us why does he need to come to an atheist forum to protect his beliefs he is here being disrespectful to us so i see no reason why i should even attempt to be the slightest bit courteous to him
