Does this make sense to anyone else?
If Jesus died so all of our sins could be forgiven and we woudn't have to do individual sacrifices and all that good stuff, and Christains try not to sin. Then in turn isn't that kind of making Jesus' death for nothing. This made sense to me, but then again maybe I'm crazy.

if even one christain goes to hell then jesus and god lied. and his death is in vain. you wouldn't think that christians would have to ask for forgiveness it should had been done on the cross.

It's all been said and done before. The only thing left is denunciation of any and all variants of religion with no quarter given.
Logic can never convince the illogical.

It appears that you would be in favor of an officially atheistic Soviet style leadership. Communists believe that religion is the opiate of the people. Stalin, like any true communist, acted out his religious, atheistic belief that there is no higher authority than himself. Various other religious denominations such as Islam, deviant christianity, are also guilty of atrocities to be sure. But everyone is religious! It's all been said and done before. The only thing left is denunciation of any and all variants of religion with no quarter given. Logic can never convince the illogical.

I'm glad you didn't call me a communist, although some might think you did. Being a rather pragmatic libertarian, I certainly don't favour that style of leadership, in fact I don't favour leadership at all. I favour autonomy.

If you look at the myth of the fall of Lusifer more closely you would find that it was Lusifer that said that he had a plan that could save every human where as God said some would have to burn. What dose this tell you about your God.

that reminds me of monty python's holy grail
WOMAN: I didn't know we had a king. I thought we were an autonomous collective. DENNIS: You're fooling yourself. We're living in a dictatorship. A self-perpetuating autocracy in which the working classes-- WOMAN: Oh there you go, bringing class into it again.
damn i love that movie. sorry for any hijacking that might happen now. but i think the holy grail is worth it.

Atheists believe that they are not accountable to anyone but themselves in matters of faith and practice. If an atheist knows that he can steal without getting caught, then his conscience can easily grant permission because his god will not hold him accountable. "The attitude and feeling of one who believes in a transcendent controlling power or powers" defines the atheist, therefore making him a religious person.

You obviously didn't read the link. Why do I even try? Pilgram don't come here and preach to us if your not willing to look at what we say. By the way that is an interesting definition of atheism but not an accurate one, a more suitable defenition is "one who follows the path of logic and realistic thought."

Before your mother told you about God did you think it was ok to take some one Else's things. Would you have killed some one for doing some thing you did not like. Did you come up to your parents and knife them for not getting you what you wanted at Christmas. I think not. You see this is because you have something called a conscience no matter how twisted you become you will have it. It doesn't take God to have such a thing. You had it before. If you had been made into a Shintoist, a Buddhist, Jane, or a Taoist you would still have it. If you are an atheist your sense of right and wrong dose not diminish. Also the complicated matters of why it is wrong can just as easily be taught by your parents. For those who don't know right and wrong stealing and killing are wrong! For those people we have the term Insane.

you are only looking at it one way here. what would you say to this?
christans believe that they are not accountable to anyone but god in matters of faith and practices. if a christan knows he can steal without getting caught, then his god will forgive him and his conscience will not hold him accountable.
see the same argument can be used for both sides, so that makes it a mute point. do you have anything worth saying?

Necroshine,
True Christians believe that if a professing believer steals beligerently, presuming on God's forgiveness, that man is really not a Christian. Despite the failures of true believers, they are not motivated that way.

True Christians are fools. They ignore 95% of the Bible, wrongly interpret the rest and you expect me to say "you know, Christianity is good after all". What a fool you are. All religion is bad. All.
